US Citizens:

On the day of your first visit, to get past the guard gate, you will need a current and valid photo identification and show this to the security guard for entry to ORNL.  If you have a HSPD-12 badge, this will work.  A drivers license will also work.  You do not have to check in at the ORNL visitor center, please proceed directly to the SNS where you will be able to pick up a visitor badge.

After the first day, you can use your visitor badge to get through the guard gate and proceed directly to the SNS.

Non-US Citizens:

On the day of your first visit, you will need a compliant photo identification and show this to the security guard to get through the guard gate.   Please proceed to the ORNL visitor center for a visitor badge.  You will not be able to pick up a visitor badge at the SNS.  Foreign nationals must bring a passport and visa (or LPR card) to present to the receptionist at the Visitor’s Center.  A WORIA representative will be waiting at the ORNL visitor center to assist you.

After the first day, you can use your visitor badge to get through the guard gate and proceed directly to the SNS.
